Assata Madison is a professional tap dancer, performer, and choreographer from Los Angeles, CA. In her youth, she trained under Paul and Arlene Kennedy at Universal Dance Designs, home to the world-known Kennedy Tap Company. As a UCLA undergrad, she studied under Lynn Dally, Artistic Director for Jazz Tap Ensemble. She also studied at Jacob's Pillow Tap Program in 2010 and 2012. She received a B.S. in Statistics from UCLA. 



As a performer, she has danced on stages and at venues all over the world. She is a former member of the viral all female tap group, Syncopated Ladies. Assata has also danced on television shows and commercials such as Amazon Select's The Last Tycoon and Remy Martin x Usher Team Up for Excellence commercial. She enjoys teaching in her hometown Los Angeles. Assata's passion is to ​​inspire others to express their gifts and discover their purpose, and to keep tap dance thriving in the African American community.
